Splatforms and Generating Backlinks

While there are many current and potential uses for a *form, far and away the most easily recognized would be for the purpose of generating backlinks to another site or blog. Even though we created Splatforms.com to be a more generic process to move data of varying types for a number of currently known and yet-to-be-defined purposes, there is no denying that generating backlinks is definitely one of those currently known purposes, and will undoubtedly be the primary reason driving many folks to pop on over and take a look.

There is no question that there are already a considerable number of players in this area already. Many of them are stand-alone desktop solutions that you download and run on your PC. Many others are hosted solutions that you access via the web. Still others, much like Splatforms.com, are hybrid solutions composed of both a web component and a local component. All of them, however, do share one common trait: each solution is proprietary, and you are completely dependent on the vendor to keep up with the ever changing landscape of target sites to which you would like to post your backlinks.

Our belief is that Splatforms.com brings a new dimension to the field by opening up the Task development process to third-party developers. What this means is that you are no longer bound by the target sites that have been selected by the purveyor of the backlink-generation software. If you know of an unsupported site that you would like to add to your target list, you can either develop a Task yourself for that purpose, or arrange to have someone with those skills development one on your behalf. And if you are having trouble with a particular Task that does not seem be working properly, there is nothing that would prevent you from developing an alternative that works better if you cannot get adequate support from the developer who set up that Task with which you are having difficulty.

By establishing an open marketplace for competing Tasks, we believe that we can create an environment in which end users can select from a variety of proven options supported by an entire community of developers rather than just the limited resources of a single software vendor.  It is also our contention that opening up the process will vastly increase the number of new and innovative ideas available to the community, which can broaden the focus of backlink generation beyond just Social Bookmarking and into such areas as public calendars and guest blogging. Whenever you add more people to a process, you are also adding new ideas and new perspectives, which is a good thing for all of us.

Of course, the open (s)platform is just one of the many benefits of using Splaforms.com for backlink generation. The security of your information is another. And cost is yet another. There is no cost or obligation to set up a Splaforms.com user account. We don’t charge you anything, and we don’t ask you to promote our site or clutter up your own site with badges or links back to ours. It’s just free. Yes, we’ve placed a limit on volume for now, but even that is a temporary limit in the sense that whatever doesn’t run today will get picked up an run tomorrow, up to the daily limit.

All in all it sounds like a good deal to us. But then, we wouldn’t want you to just take our word for it — you’ll definitely want to try it out and verify that for yourself!
